Paul Jewel
Guitars,  Vocals
Public Transportation Consultant by
day...budding rock star by night?
Well...almost.  Paul has been playing
the guitar off and on since joining
Showdown, a high school rock band in
Fremont, in 1979.  During the mid
1980's he took a turn as a bass player
in a San Francisco Rock Band called
Raze.  He picked up the guitar again
(this time an acoustic) in the late
1990s and hasn't looked back.  His
primary influences are the Beatles,
the Eagles, Larry Carlton and Steely
Dan.  Paul recently added keyboards
to his musical bag of tricks and
expects to feature them more
prominently in new SixString songs.
He's currently working on original
material with other SixString
members. His primary claim to
fame...he's the band's funny man and
resident stand up comic.  Hmmm,
could be another budding career...
